A letter for you

Dear you,

The square gives this piece a steady outline, but the wood inside it does not repeat that geometry. Its flowing grain and knots might remind you of a coastline, with green and chartreuse moss around it. We like how a familiar shape can hold something less predictable without needing to straighten it out.

Within the black frame, the wood's surface and the layered preserved moss have different roles. One carries lines you can follow; the other builds a more cushioned texture around them. We bring those qualities together by hand, allowing the grain to remain a visible part of the composition. The result is not a picture printed onto a surface, but an arrangement with depth.

We hope you enjoy deciding where it belongs among the things already in your room. It might echo the lines of a shelf, or contrast with objects that are less regular in shape. You do not need to make the whole room match it. A handmade piece can add its own character and still feel at home with the everyday objects you have chosen over time.

With care,
