A letter for you

Dear you,

For this round piece, we keep two materials in conversation: preserved moss and cedar wood. The green surface has a different texture from the grain beside it, and neither needs to take over the whole composition. We want you to be able to notice the wood, then look back at the moss and see how the two sit together.

The aluminum frame gives that arrangement a defined edge. Within it, the natural materials remain the things to look at, rather than disappearing behind an elaborate border. This is a piece that can be appreciated simply as a round shape on your wall, but it also has quieter details for the moments when you are close enough to see the surface.

We hope it finds a comfortable place among your everyday things. It does not need a room arranged entirely around it. A little visible grain and a patch of green can belong beside books, furniture or a familiar photograph. Because the materials and their arrangement have their own variations, the details of your piece will be yours to get to know.

With care,

Your makers at Oh Handmade
