A letter for you

Dear you,

There is no single center you have to look at first in this round work. The preserved moss is arranged in rounded, cushion-like clusters, so your attention can move from one raised shape to the next. We like the way that repeated form gives the piece a clear character without making every part look identical.

The slim black frame keeps the outside simple. Inside, the moss does the work: its clusters give the surface depth, and their arrangement makes the circle feel fuller than a flat field of color. When we think about this piece, we think about the difference between seeing its outline from the room and seeing the individual shapes up close.

You might enjoy it in a place where you do not want a complicated scene or a story with many separate objects. Here, the interest is in one material and the way it is arranged. We hope the rounded shapes become a familiar part of your wall, while still giving your eye a reason to return to the smaller differences between them.

With care,

Your makers at Oh Handmade
